In the past days a new bunch of VCDXs (around 30) are appear, but the interesting news is that they are (or at least most of them) VCDX-NV: the new track specific for Network Virtualization (that mean mainly VMware NSX).

Seems that they are all coming from the NSX Ninja program and most of them where already Cisco CCIE (matching the criteria described on the VCDX-NV official web page). This also may confirm that there isn’t a real VCAP level for the NX path (as already commented in a previous post and also supposed in this post).

Most of the VCDX-NV are double VCDXs with some well name, like Scott Lowe, Jason Nash and Chris Wahl. But also some name starting directly with the VCDX-NV certification (included a new Italian VCDX: Max Ardica).

For more information about the program see also those posts:

Another news in the VCDX world is related to the rumor about a possible new track: VCDX-SAA on “Storage and Availability”. This could be an interesting track, but I have some doubt considering that those aspects are already (partially) covered by the VCDX-DCV track. But considering the possible changes in the VCDX-Cloud (shifting more on the vCAC part) could be possible that there will be some arrangements in the existing tracks, considering also that the management/monitoring part is missing (or only partially covered by the DCV path).
