E2EVCE2EVC Virtualization Conference is an independent, non-commercial, virtualisation community event build from experts to experts.

The main goal is to bring the best virtualisation experts together to exchange knowledge and to establish new connections. E2EVC is a weekend crammed with presentations, Master Classes and discussions delivered by both virtualisation vendors product teams and independent experts.

Started in 2003 with just 4 people and after 19 successful events grown to awell-recognized event with over 120 attendees. Our conference has taken place in cities such as Munich, London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dublin, Paris, Nice, Lisbon, Hamburg and Vienna. The next conference will take place for the first time in Italy!

Next event will take place on November 1-3, 2013 (precisely 12.00 on Friday 1 November to 14.00 on Sunday November 3rd) in Rome, Italy in the H10 Hotel Roma Città.

There will be 15 Countries – with Netherlands (32%), Deutschland (14%), Norway (10%), UK (9%). And also 15 CTP, 15 MVP’s and 4 6 vExperts. Most of them are presenting.

For me will be the first time at this kind of event both as an attendee and also as a speaker. My session is scheduled on the first day (Friday 1st November):

15.45 – 16.15 Session (SF1)
Topic: The VMware’s Software Defined DataCenter (SDDC) vision
Short description: In this session we describe the concept of a Virtual Datacenter or Software Defined Datacenter, it’s benefit and how could be used for implementing an hybrid cloud approach.
The proposed reference architecture will be the new VMware vCloud Suite.
5.5 that include the virtualization part (vSphere suite), the cloud abstraction and management part (vCloud Director) and the monitoring part (Operation Manager).
Finally we will analyze and discuss some common scenarios, like the SMB segment, the ROBO (Remote Office and BranchOffice) cases.

I also will act as a wingman in Liselotte Foverskov (vExpert and VMUG DK leader) presentation on “Whats new in VMware vSphere 5.5?” scheduled on Sat 13.45 – 14.30.

The agenda it’s almost rich with a lot of sessions, most on Citrix and Microsoft technologies, but in this edition seems that there is a lot of interest also on VMware technologies (IMHO this make more neutral and independent this kind of event).
