CloudCred is the gamification way from VMware to learn more about cloud computing and related topics. Maybe could be not the best way, or sometimes it goes wild… but remain an interesting approach.

As a good example of a right way to use this approach are the learning path. For example, one of the recently introduces is the “Show Your IBM SmartCloud Cred” path.

This path is composed by several tasks:

  9. Task 430: Read “Success in the cloud: Why workload matters“
  10. Task 431: Install the IBM SmartCloud Provisioning Trial
  11. Task 432: Request a quote from IBM for your business using SmartCloud
  12. Task 434: Review posts on “Thoughts on Cloud
  13. Task 435: Watch “IBM SmartCloud Services“
  14. Task 436: Read “Choice and control“
  15. Task 437: Listen to an IBM tech talk series for cloud computing
  16. Task 438: Install “SmartCloud Quick Reference” mobile app

All those tasks give a good overview on the IBM cloud vision and related solutions, but it’s also a valid source of information vendor independent.
