Could be a strange choice, considering that most of PBX are based on Linux (and there are also a lot of distributions or virtual appliance already targeted for the PBX and VoIP world), but the company as grow in those years. They develop 3CX Phone System, the software-based PBX for Microsoft Windows which not only replaces proprietary phone systems, but it also delivers a complete Unified Communications solution. And it’s also […]

Reading Time: 3 minutes Last October, Microsoft and Docker, Inc. jointly announced plans to bring containers to developers across the Docker and Windows ecosystems via Windows Server Containers, available in the next version of Windows Server. This was for sure a big announce, considering also the containers momentum, but was just an announce, considering that no details was avaiable (and of course none is available yet in the the beta code of Windows Next). But finally there are the first details about this new technology and how it will work. Microsoft has announce it both on the Windows Server […]

Reading Time: 4 minutes In those days there were some interesting threads directly or indirectly about the vCommunity, the value of it, the credibility and also the criteria of “election” in it for the Top  Blog (but also for the vExpert). They have started independently one from Christian Mohn (The “vCommunity”) and one from Rene Van Den Bedem (#TopvBlog2015 Analysis Part 2) but in both there are some interesting topics (although I don’t agree with all of them).

Reading Time: 3 minutes With the announce of vSphere 6.0 there are of course a new bunch of certifications, changed not only in the version, but also in some other details. I’ve wrote about the new VMware certifications some weeks ago, and also on the upgrade rules from vSphere 5 based certifications. But finally, with the announce of the VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization, now available in beta (so this is the first VMware public beta for an exam?) a new column is going to populating the new certification roadmap.

Reading Time: 2 minutes APAC edition of #vBrownbag is managed by my friend Alastair Cooke (the creator of AutoLab) and actually he is covering the VCP6-Desktop blueprint. One big news of the new version of this certification is the part related to VMware Mirage: the entire section 5 is dedicated to Install, Configure, and Manage VMware Mirage. How don’t know how much will impact the related exams (I’ve not took it yet), but for sure mean a more End User Computing perspective rather that something related only to the View part. In the next APAC #vBrownbag session I will […]
