After two months from the NAKIVO v7.0 release now it’s announced NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.1 with the support of Hyper-V Failover Clusters.

Before this version each Hyper-V host was just a “standalone” system (for the backup point of view) with limited VM migration capabilitiles.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication v7.1 can now track VMs inside a cluster, so if a failover VM is moved from node to node, the product automatically updates the appropriate jobs and continues to protect the VM without any intervention required.

Moreover, you can add an entire Failover Cluster to a backup or replication job, which will protect all VMs in the cluster. If you need to apply a different data protection policy to some VMs inside a Failover Cluster, you can exclude them from a backup or replication job, while other VMs will still be covered with the Failover Cluster protection.
