Vembu is a player in the backup and data protection world, maybe not (yet) well-know, but for sure not new at all and with a complete suite that cover the physical world, the virtual (VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V) and also some public cloud SaaS solutions.

Now there are some important news in the licensing options.

First to all, the  Vembu BDR Suite now has also Perpetual Licensing, that entitles the customer to use the software indefinitely. Generally, one year of Technical support and Product Updates are included in the Perpetual license. Even after the expiry of the one year maintenance period, the product continues to work but to receive further Technical Support and Software updates, the customer needs to purchase the Annual Support and Upgrade plan.

With Vembu’s Perpetual licensing model, the customer can experience:

  • Low upfront cost – Due to one-time investment, the license is purchased at a remarkable discount.
  • Full support – Customer can get all the updates, technical support from Vembu by renewing with Annual Maintenance cost.

Compared to others products, the price per socket is medium, but you can still use the previous license model. Or also use free editions  Vembu BDR Suite Free Edition.

The second news is a new program: with New Vembu Service Provider Program, there lies a huge benefit for SPs like Managed Service Provider (MSP), Cloud Service Provider (CSP), Application Service provider( ASP), Hosted Service Provider (HSP) or anyone who is involved in IT solution delivery who offer Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) to the customers. We at Vembu, share their responsibility for ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster with lesser downtime possible. Apparently, Vembu is providing higher price discounts for all types of service providers with this new program.
