Each quarter, Backblaze realize an “hard disk stat” blog post with detailed information on (spinning) hard disk durability. Those reviews look at the quarterly and lifetime statistics for the data drive models in operation in Backblaze’s data centers.

As of September 30, 2018 Backblaze had 99,636 spinning hard drives. Of that number, there were 1,866 boot drives and 97,770 data drives. A lot to have some interesting data.

Latest report (Hard Drive Stats for Q3 2018: Less is More) it’s already available and the following table covers what happened in Q3 2018:
