After Broadcom completed the acquisition of VMware most of the services hosted on vmware.com domain have been migrated and integrated on broadcom.com domain.

Actually the documentation is still on vmware.com web site, but only for few days.

As you can notice all the documentation will be moved on December 31st 2024 January 30th 2025!

Initially the deadline was the end of 2024, but seems that has been postponed.

After the migration the new site will be: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/

The problem is not only the move of the documentation, but will be the refresh of the different web search engines. But also how the old links will be usable (and, if yes, for which timeframe?).

The documentation is also referenced in several other external resources, included my blog… and this can broke a lot links… Let’s see.

Another problem is the content of the documentation… I notice that there is a huge process of content review (in the page show as an example you can see that Broadcom appears in a lot of place). But not all the new links are working yet.

I hope that the documentation structure will be maintained as possible as is to avoid unnecessary complication and bad user experience (like the product download page).
