Reading Time: 3 minutesDi recente è stato annunciato un nuovo VMware vExpert sub-program: si tratta del vExpert PRO. Ma rispetto al vExpert e agli altri sottoprogrammi il fine di questo programma è sostanzialmente different.
Un vExpert PRO è un vExpert con una forte presenza locale (tipicamente vi dovrebbe essere almeno un vExpert Pro per nazione), con forti legami con le community locali e che sia in grado di promuovere e migliorare il programma vExpert.

L’idea alla base del programma vExpert PRO è quello di creare una rappresentanza locale di recruiter e mentor per il programma vExpert stesso (e i suoi sotto-programmi). Questo anche per colmare la difficoltà di identificazione e selezione dei candidati, quando questi magari scrivono prevalmentemente in un linguaggio locale.
Ma anche per rendere il programma vExpert più democratico e aperto a culture che non siano basate solo sulla lingua inglese (al momento il grosso dei vExpert, come è facile immaginare, è americana e anglosassone).

La selezione degli stessi ha richisto diversi mesi di lavoro (si è iniziato dal blocco asiatico, per concludersi con il blocco europeo) e sono stati utilizzati i seguenti criteri:
- very active in their local IT community
- able to translate and explain the advantages of the vExpert Program
- willing to support current local vExperts to improve and grow
- willing to discover and recruit new vExperts in their local region
- willing to assist new people who what to become a vExpert
- willing to be a mentor to new and current vExperts
Ho accettato questo incarico con grande piacere anche perché l’Italia ha molte potenzialità di crescita e merita sicuramente una maggior visibilità… ma anche perché il programma vExpert PRO ha grande ambizioni…
Questo è solo l’inizio, vi saranno molte interessanti novità in futuro…
