During the last IT Press Tour (the 14th), in the Silicon Valley (December 1-5, 2014) we met several companies in different categories (Cloud, Storage and Big Data). The third company that we met on the fourth day was Primary Data and potentially their product could be one of the most disrupting in the storage arena.

The first company that we met (on the first day) was Nimble Storage, one well know name in the storage world (and present for the fouth time at a IT Press Tour).

The second company that we met on the second day was ObjectiveFS, an interesting company with a single but unique product in the cloud area.

The third day has started (and also ended with a dinner) with Diablo Technologies, a privately held company, headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, with additional teams throughout the United States and Europe.

During the last IT Press Tour (the 14th), in the Silicon Valley (December 1-5, 2014) we met several companies in different categories (Cloud, Storage and Big Data). The second company that we met on the third day was SpanningCloudApps, a company founded on 2010 and based in Austin (TX) that provide unique cloud-to-cloud backup solutions and recently (October 2014) acquired by EMC (now is formally called Spanning by EMC).

During the last IT Press Tour (the 14th), in the Silicon Valley (December 1-5, 2014) we met several companies in different categories (Cloud, Storage and Big Data). The first on the second day was Exablox, and probably their presentation was one of the best, both for the contents and the type of presentation.

The last (during a nice dinner) on the first day was Platform9, that I’ve already met (via conference) during the announce of their product (not yet available).

The IT Press tour is a five-day event taking place this week in San Francisco that seeks to introduce the EMEA media to tech firms doing some interesting things in Silicon Valley. I will take part at the next edition (the 14th) that will take place exclusively in the Silicon Valley (during December 1-5, 2014). Since the 1st tour edition, the EMEA press group has met 105 companies for 155 sessions, some companies did multiple editions and adopted the IT Press Tour as a key marketing communication medium.
