Reading Time: 6 minutes The Italian VCAP and VCDX Bootcamps have finished and I can confirm (another time) how they can really valuable. During the past VMworld EU, I’ve attend at the VCDX Bootcamp, and this time was the opportunity to attend also at the VCAP Bootcamp (but first to all the opportunity to bring them in Italy). Reading Time: 2 minutes Although the official confirmation has not yet arrived via email (same behaviour of last year or two years ago), it seems that (also) this year I was confirmed as a vExpert. The list has published on the VMTN blog site: vExpert 2014 Announcement. VMware announce the recertification policy

Reading Time: 3 minutes VMware has introduced a new certification policy (is effective as of March 10, 2014) that require a re-certification every two years. Actually this does not differ too much from other vendor’s technical certifications. Note that, at least in this phase, this only apply to VCP certifications (and not like other have written also to VCAP or VCDX): VMware is implementing a recertification policy for VCP certification. Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) Course

Reading Time: 3 minutes Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification is a way to demonstrate that an engineer possesses the necessary level of expertise to correctly architect, implement and configure Veeam Software Solutions. It’s a new certification announced by Veeam some month ago in order to bring a technical certification level in the existing partner’s related certifications (sales and technical pre-sales), similar at the (initial) certifications in the VMware partners program. It will also become mandatory for Veeam’s partners. Note that each VMCE is related to a major version of Veeam products.

Reading Time: < 1 minute With the release of the VMware Certified Design Expert – Desktop (VCDX-DT) certification, the certification path for the VMware End User Computing is finally completed. The official page shows all the details including the Handbook & Application. It does not report the dates for the defense, but they will be the same as other VCDX defense: VCDX defense schedule for 2014.
