Reading Time: < 1 minute Disclaimer: usually in this list are not included (because they are too much) webinars or events too much vendor oriented or with a significant access fee. Also this is not the list of my monthly events (days are limited and I have also to works)… Let’s say that it’s almost a whish-list. Interesting European IT events: RedHat Partner Conference – Madrid (Sep, 29 – Oct 2) Canalys Channels Forums 2013 – Barcelona (Oct, 1 – 3) Second European Workshop on Software Defined Networks – Berlin (Oct, 10-11) VMworld EU 2013 – Barcelona (Oct, 14-17) IPExpo […]

Reading Time: < 1 minute As you can notice in the VMware’s certifications planner, the End User Computing (EUC) path has slightly changed in some names: the related VCDX (not yet available) is simple called VCDX-Desktop (and no more VCDX-DT) and the same apply for VCP-Desktop (funny that in other point is still called VCP-DT). Remember also that the related VCP has two different path (as all other VCPs): one is the VCP-Desktop exam (that cover also the vSphere part) and one is VMware View exam. But the interesting aspect is the “Workforce Mobility” related to new Associate level (VCA): […]

Reading Time: 2 minutes A VCDX Bootcamp is a half day session (little less) that can really help you in the VCDX preparation, expecially to understand the entire VCDX process with more attention on the application and the defense part. In my opinion could be a must for each new VCDX (I wasn’t so lucky and I wasn’t able to attend it). There is also a book: VCDX Boot Camp: Preparing for the VCDX Panel Defense. But honestly be part at this live experience could be completly different.

Reading Time: 6 minutes There are just three weeks until VMworld 2013 EU at Barcelona! I’ve already explain why attend at this event, now I also collect some (I hope useful) informations (like done in the previous year).

Reading Time: 2 minutes There is only 1 month left until the European edition of VMworld 2013 and the main reason on why attend at this event is really simple: if you have lost the US edition you cannot lost also this one :) Another reason, but only for VMware partners, is that the first day (Monday) is a dedicated Partner Day. It will consist in keynotes, focused breakout sessions covering VMware products, pricing and programs, and network with peers. Considering the lack of a real European VMware Partner Exchange, this is a good partner’s momentum.

Reading Time: 3 minutes Duncan Epping has wrote (on 2010) a nice post with the meaning of several, not too obvious, VMware acronyms used sometime in some product name, but usually in the internal process or file name. In those post you can found also some interesting facts about the meaning and the origin of some names. Now I’ve just put a copy here and short the list alphabetically and also added some new entries:
