The VMware Cloud Partner Program (VCPP) is the new name, effective on August 28th, 2017, for the VMware’s cloud provider partners. Previously referred to as the VMware vCloud Air Network (VCAN), this elite group of over 4,000 partners provide VMware based cloud services in over 100 countries.
The change of the name, probably it’s to re-focus the VMware based public cloud offert (directly or throught partners) on a new name, that does not include anymore the vCloud Air brand (selled to OVH).
Also a new specific logo (VMware Cloud Verified Logo) has been defined for the new “brand”.
Support all your apps—from existing to cloud-native to SaaS—across private, public, and hybrid clouds using services displaying the VMware Cloud Verified logo. The logo means:
- Integration and interoperability: Deploy core compute, storage, and network building blocks that give you the freedom and flexibility to run your apps where you want, in the cloud or your data center.
- Flexibility: Choose from a wide range of VMware Cloud Providers worldwide with vertical focus, unique capabilities, and differentiated skills while avoiding vendor lock-in.
- Cost optimization: Rely on your IT team’s existing skill sets and lower your TCO with consistent operations and infrastructure across clouds.
