The legacy C# vSphere Client for Windows is no more available for vSphere 6.5 (see Bye bye vSphere Client, finally), put for previous vSphere version you can still use it.

You can but maybe you shouldn’t, just because new features are in the vSphere Web Client and also because it’s not always friendly in error handling and message.

But considering the recent Flash issue with vSphere Web Client, maybe you need a plan B.

You can always download the vSphere Client from the vCenter Server or direcly from Internet (note that if you try to download from ESXi, you are just pointed to an Internet URL location).

Note that a good plan B for simple VM operation could be use VMware Workstation.

And, of course, all CLI commands could be a valid alternative to GUI management.
