As happened in the past, VMworld 2018 will be in the same locations, both for the US and the European editions: again Las Vegas and Barcelona.

Those will be the dates for both events:

  • VMworld 2018 US: will be in Las Vegas from August 26 to August 30
  • VMworld 2018 EU: will be in Barcelona from November 5 to November 8 (note that the period has changed from last edition)

As usual, both conferences close on Thursday after the lunch time (at least for the main sessions and activities).

Registration for both editions it’s already open! So don’t wait.

If you are looking for a cheap way to attend, actually you can use the Alumni discount (or the VCP discount, but is not so good as the Alumni one). Plus you can use the VMUG Advantage discount with one other VMworld discount. This is the only VMworld discount that is combinable, and applies only to VMUG Advantage Members.

Considering that the VMworld CFP is closed, actually one of the few way to have a free ticket it’s the VMworld HoL giveway where VMware has organized a raffle (that ends on 24th of May).

You can win a pass to VMworld US or Europe by taking a one of the VMware HoL. Not only a the VMworld pass, but the entire all-expenses paid trip (including travel and hotel)… So don’t loose this opportunity.
