Reading Time: < 1 minuteWith the new year, there was an opportunity to fix the site (started on July 24, 2011), especially in order to replace the theme and some plugins that were no longer up to date and easily to keep updated. Compared to what happened long ago, there has been no change in the domain of the site, but some URLs may not work (because some permalinks, due to the changing of the multilingual module, may not be all up to date). In those cases, just report the problems using the comment form. Happy 2014!

Reading Time: 5 minutesSeveral months ago (on 26th August) I’ve taken the VCAP5-DTA beta exam and finally I’ve got the results: it was a pass! This time the confirmation email was slightly different from the usual beta result because also the score report was provided: Thank you for participating in the VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Desktop Administration program. Please find your score report attached. The result was a big surprise not because the exam was really difficult (wasn’t easy), but because was really long with several task to complete, with some of them really time consuming.

A typical way of getting into APD would be a Fiber Channel switch failure or (in the case of an iSCSI array) a network connectivity issue. But there are also other scenarios that we will discuss later. VMware vSphere […]

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe second day of the Powering the Cloud event is almost similar to the first one (see the report of day 1), with the only main difference that it will finish some hours earlier. The entire show confirm the reasons to attend at this event, and I think to attend also the next year. As written in the previous post, the agenda was almost dense and structured in different paths and topics, without specific general sessions.
