Was also one of the company that I’ve meet during the IT Press Tour 14 (for more information see also this post). Now they announced the first enterprise-grade cloud-to-cloud backup solution for Office 365. It’s designed from the ground up to be fully functional on desktops, tablets and mobile devices, allowing users to access information whenever and wherever they work. Reading Time: 2 minutesVMware vRealize Operations 6.2 is the new name of the vCloud Automation Center product that will be now part of the new vRealize suite. But will be not only a barely renaming of an existing product, instead it will be a completely new version with several interesting improvements and enhancements. Of course, there will be a tight integration between vRealize Operations and Automation (like in health status displays and reclaims inactive VMs) but also lot of enhancements in usage (more ease of use) and supportability and an admin Friendly CLI (to simplify scripting of vRealize Automation […]

Reading Time: 5 minutesSome years ago, Veeam has introduced a “cloud” version of its Backup & Replication product (see Veeam Backup & Replication Cloud Edition) and also a specific program for Cloud or Service Provider, but with the next version of the data protection program and the next suite (Veeam Availability Suite) there will be something more interesting both for the customer and the service providers. Both were announced during the last VMworld Europe, in the VMware Cloud Management vision. Both present interesting function of cross-products and cross-cloud/environments.

But VMware has not only announced the new versions of some management products, but also the entire cloud management vision:

Reading Time: 4 minutesProbably in VMware vCloud Suite 5.5 announce, most of the attention has gone on the news related to VMware vSphere 5.5 and the new products (like NSX and VSAN). But there are some significant news also in the new vCloud Director 5.5, most are well described in the What’s New with VMware vCloud Director® 5.5 document and this official blog.
