Reading Time: < 1 minute There are at least two recent news for the VMworld 2012 events: VMworld 2012 US: the band has been announced and will be Jon Bon Jovi and The Kings of Suburbia. Note that is “only” Jon Bon Jovi and not the entire music group (Bon Jovi), that means no Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres (from the original band). Anyway Jon Bon Jovi is the leader and the voice of the group… So it could give a good performance (I hope on ’80 years songs). For people that do no like his songs (or […]

Reading Time: < 1 minute Today is the last chance to vote for the VMworld Call for Papers. This is just the public part for the selection of the CFP… The “private” part is only for some selected people. In order to vote, you will need a VMworld.com account. If you do not have one yet, you create one. If you already have a VMworld.com account please visit VMworld 2012 Call for Papers Public Voting. Actually there are a (lot of) good proposals, so just vote on what do you prefer. There is also my proposal (2430 How to Increase […]

Reading Time: 2 minutes On the VMware Community (in the Training & Certification area) has recently been confirmed that there are new VCDX4 defenses (for the original post see: VCDX Defenses at VMworld San Francisco and Barcelona 2012). So the Toronto defence will not be the last opportunity for VCDX4 certification (as written in a previous post) and is a good news for people involved in this kind of certification that require several time. Also I consider a good choice to permit the VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) defenses at VMworld San Francisco and VMworld Barcelona. The travel expenses […]

Reading Time: < 1 minute Seems that the date of the VMworld Europe 2012 has changed, from the usual second half of October (see also the original date on the photo in this post). On the official VMworld site there is a new week (still officially from Tuesday to Thursday): Barcelona October 9-11 No information yet about the place, maybe the “Fira de Barcelona“, but the event ins’t on the official list. The only info is that is on “Gran Via” (that could confirm the Fira), but some Spanish people say it could be the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona. […]

Reading Time: < 1 minute For the VMworld scheduled in the next year there will be two wonderful locations (both are confirmed): VMworld 2012 US – San Francisco – Aug 27-30 2012 VMworld 2012 EU – Barcelona – Oct 16-18 9-11 2012 Both the city need at least one visit (and both require some days for a good visit…) and also the weather probably could be fine in those period… so which location? Both could be obvious, but also mean time (and money). I think that if you never been at one VMworld US edition, this could be the right […]

Reading Time: 3 minutes This European edition was the second time at Copenhagen, so we can make some comparison with the previous edition: General organization: seems better (one year of experience can help to improve). Transport: similar as last year (bus from the airport and free pass for metro/s-tog), but this time the main entrance was near the metro station. Bella Center: this time seems that was used an extended area, the resul was good and better than last year… more free space, relax area, lot of place to eat or simple sit, bigger reception… maybe the only flaw […]

Reading Time: 2 minutes Instead of give a opinion to each session of VMworld Europe 2011, I prefer point the best moments (maybe unique… for sure “priceless”) of this event: VMworld Community TV: as already written, it was a great opportunity to make a day report (in native language) of the event. Thanks again to John Troyer for this opportunity. VMUG.IT vBeer: on Monday evening there was the Italian vBeer with around 40 people… But the best moment was see Re Ferrè and Perilli discuss about cloud and all around it. vExpert Meeting: on the late afternoon of Tuesday […]
