End of the extended support for Windows Server 2003 family

Reading Time: 3 minutesAs you probably know, Windows Server 2003 has (finally) reach its end-of-life. For the Windows 2003 Server family the critical dates were the following: On July 13, 2010 Mainstream Support for Windows Server 2003 family ended. On July 14, 2015 Extended Support for Windows Server 2003 family will end. So one year after the Microsoft Windows XP (and Office 2003) retirement, now it’s the turn of the Windows Server 2003 (and of course the R2 version) operating system family, after 12 years!

Microsoft MVP award reconfirmation

Reading Time: 2 minutesAccording to Microsoft, Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award is given to “exceptional, independent community leaders who share their passion, technical expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with others”. The awarded are people who “actively share their … technical expertise with the different technology communities related directly or indirectly to Microsoft”. An MVP is awarded for contributions over the previous year. Is more than an award (or accreditation) instead of certification and is quite similar (in the concept) like other “community” award, like the VMware vExpert.
