Reading Time: 3 minutes Today I’ve taken the VCAP5-DCD beta exam (I’ve already written about the invitation at this beta). This time I was lucky enough to find a testing center near home and avoid the issues of the VCAP4-DCD beta exam (see the entire story). For general considerations, like the cost of this kind of exams, the (long) wait period, the selection criteria, … se my though about VMware beta exams. Now a new information is that the beta period of the VCAP5-DCD exam will run from February 13th, 2012 through March 2nd, 2012 (thanks VMware for the larger time window, one of the big issues of beta exams). Reading Time: < 1 minute Official news are still missing,  but something is moving for the new exam VCAP5-DCA. There are works in progress for the blueprint (whit also the feedback from a restricted survery that will close on Jul, 26). Seems confirmed that the exam will be 100% lab based. So could be possible that VCAP5-DCA certification will be announce during the VMworld USA at the end of august. Maybe in the same period will start the beta? What I quite sure is that the beta cannot run before… most VUE testing centers are closed in August.
