Reading Time: 2 minutesVMware vSphere 6.7 is in GA since April 2018 (see this post) and the know issues are quite limited. Most of the other VMware and 3rd party products have reach the compatibility this this new release. For example, recently, also Veeam Backup & Replication support for vSphere 6.7 with the new 9.5 update 3a patch.

Reading Time: 4 minutesAs you know the VMUG membership is completly free as also all the benefits, including the online resources, local meeting and UserConf events (some events may have a fee depending by the local VMUG, but almost are for free). But, if you want (and it’s not mandatory for VMUG membership), you can have more benefit by subscribing to the VMUG Advantage, that is an interesting way to stay on top of your technical skills with discounts on training, certifications, attendance at VMworld and on product licenses.

Reading Time: 3 minutesTintri has laid off 80 per cent of its staff, including its top sales bod, leaving just 40 to 50 staff behind, however it still expects to run out of cash on June 30. And there are a lot of rumors with impending news of bankruptcy. That’s not good at, considering the history of the company and the quality of their products.

Reading Time: 4 minutesThe historycal technical certification from Nutanix was the Nutanix Platform Professional (NPP) certification: a free online exam to all Nutanix customers and partners wwhere training is recommended, but not required before attempting the exam. The exam was quite easy (due also the fact that it’s an online and not proctored exam), so the value of this type of certification was not so high. But was a requirement for Nutanix partners and and plus for a customer because it confirms your (minimal) ability to install, configure, and manage the Nutanix environment.

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe vExpert vSAN program is a specific VMware vExpert (sub)programs focused on the vSAN product. The idea to have specialized groups of vExpert was to bring again (like at the origins) the vExpert program as an “elite” program. After the vExpert vSAN 2016 and 2017 lists, now VMware has just announced the vExpert vSAN 2018 new list. I was honored to part of this list again, and that’s pretty exciting, considering that I’m there from the first list.
