I’ve already talk about the PAT option, now let’s see another one, now valuable also for virtual infrastructure. The Dell Boot Optimized Storage Solution (BOSS) is a new option for the installation of the hypervisor part, in a virtualization hosts, or more important in a hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) host!

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe new Dell-EMC PowerEdge Server generation it’s out (I’ve see a preview at last Dell-EMC World event): the PowerEdge G14 series is not only the first line with the new logo (and a new bezel), but has really a lot of new features and capabilities. One of this the Dell Processor Acceleration Technology (PAT) Pro option: on a R740 the street price is more than 1500€!

Reading Time: 4 minutesAfter less than 3 years from the introduction of Generation 13 of PowerEdge series, Dell has announced the new 14th generation of DellEMC servers (and will be the first server line with the new name). The new portfolio delivers innovation in three key areas:

Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe Dell EMC World 2017 will be at Las Vegas (The Venetian hotel) during May 8-11 and will be the first big event after the definition of Dell Technology: one huge event that include companies like Dell, (Dell)EMC and VMware! A good opportunity to learn how those companies can really work together to build better products and solutions. 4 days. 500+ topics. 3 unique breakout tracks. 10+ session formats. 20+ technical certifications. 13+ expo hours. 5+ artists. Probably there will something else that will be sold, but lets […]

Reading Time: 4 minutesAlso if is not yet clear the impact of the EMC acquisition by Dell, at least in the storage portfolio, seems clear that the Dell storage strategy for the next years will be Compellent centric, with the position of this type of product also as a future replacement for the PowerVault MD3 and EqualLogic. Dell storage portfolio has slightly change with the introduction of the SC4020 (as a mid-size solution) and then the SC2000v as a entry level solution. And also the new SC9000 at a high level position.
