Zerto provides enterprise-class business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) solutions for virtualized infrastructure and cloud. Zerto Virtual Replication was one of the first hypervisor-based replication and recovery solution for VMware and they have over 700 customers and 150 cloud service providers.

Now, at the TechEd Europe event, they are announcing Zerto Virtual Replication for Microsoft Hyper-V.

hyperv logo.jpgSome features of Zerto Virtual Replication for Hyper-V include:

  • Storage agnostic replication – any storage can be used at the source and target site
  • Hypervisor agnostic replication – Hyper-V to Hyper-V, vSphere to Hyper-V and  Hyper-V to vSphere
  • No snapshots – Zerto Virtual Replication uses continuous data protection to minimize impact on the production environment
  • Automated orchestration of disaster recovery processes for application consistency
  • Simple management interface for KPIs and reporting

Probably the most interesting and innovative feature is the hypervisor agnostic one: with this enterprises that have both VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V in their datacenters can use one disaster recovery product for both. Those migrating from VMware to Hyper-V can easily use Zerto Virtual Replication for their data center migrations as well as their disaster recovery making the hypervisor a real commodity.

To find out more about Zerto Virtual Replication for Hyper-V, there is also a specific webinar (November 11th at 1:00pm ET): Master of Disaster Webinar: Zerto Virtual Replication for Microsoft Hyper-V.
