Another year has gone and I would like to share some numbers of vInfrastructure blog (that has more than three years of life).
First the ranking the virtualization blogs world: it is still in the top blog selection ranked #29 (on 2013 it was ranked #40).
Then, here are some numbers about the site grow from 2013: 82,54% of page visualizations, 40,15% on sessions and 48,37% on users (147.063 vs 99.116).
The months statistics define a peak in the Sep-Oct period and a slow start (also compared to the same period of 2013)… probably also related to the site changes at the beginning of 2014.
Site remain in dual language (English and Italian), keep in two distinct languages is quite difficult and time expensive, but I would like to try to still maintain the double version at least for the next year; although Italian visitor are become less, from a percentage prospective.
The top 10 pages of 2014 was:
- Hyper-V 2012R2 vs. vSphere 5.5
- VCP5-DCV
- vCenter Server: physical or virtual?
- Purging old data from a vCenter Server DB
- Installing Dell OMSA 7 on ESXi 5.5
- VMware products and the “Shellshock bug”
- Reset the VMware SSO password
- vStorage – Software vs Hardware iSCSI?
- VMware vCenter Server – Installable vs. Appliance
- ESXi – Partitions layout of system disk
The most searched phase was “vSphere 5.5” (not a big surprise) and the most used browser was Google Chrome (with 35% of the traffic).
About the number of posts, I’ve realized (in 2014) 208 English posts and 192 Italian posts. If you are curious about the number of posts of other blogs, just see the Virtualization Blogs 2014 by the numbers post.
