As promised some months with the Windows Server 2019 preview build, the new Windows Server 2019 is now available in GA.
This is a huge milestone after the Windows Server 2016 version released just 3 yeas ago!

Of course, all other Windows Server core services are update with version, for example, there is a newest version of Remote Desktop Services (RDS), RDS 2019.
What’s new? A lot, but not as much with the Windows Server 2016 verison.
Of course the updated Windows Admin Center, version 1809, to support Windows Server 2019 and Azure hybrid scenarios.
And more security, with an extended security support of Shielded VMs to Linux VMs.
And more compatibility: the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) into insider builds for Windows Server is now improved.
If you are a Windows Server customer with valid Software Assurance, you can download Windows Server 2019 on the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). For customers running Windows Server on Azure, Windows Server 2019 is also available in the Azure Marketplace.
You can also download the evaluation version of Windows Server 2019 at the Evaluation Center.
If you are upgrading from an older version, you can check the new Upgrade Center, where you can find useful information on the upgrade process, as well as pre and post activities.
Note that this release will be a LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) build, a major release with a support of 5+5 year, in contrast with the Semi-Annual Channel builds that have only a 18 months support.
