Reading Time: 2 minutesThe 13rd edition of Tech Field Day (#TFD13) will be in Austin the first week of February (February 1–3, 2017). Note that the TFD event format replaced the Virtualization Field Day (VFD) event format more than one year ago (maybe because the buzzword virtualization is no more attractive). But to be honest first editions of VFD where just called Tech Field Day, so it’s just a return to the origin. As written in a previous post the agenda is very rich with several companies and sessions in those three days:

Reading Time: 3 minutesI’m very proud and honored to be invited at the 13rd edition of Tech Field Day (#TFD13) that will be in Austin the first week of February (February 1–3, 2017). After some Virtualization Field Day, one Data Field Day and some Tech Field Day Extra, I’m back for the first time in Austin and for the first time at a Tech Field Day (TFD) event format. The TFD event format replaced the Virtualization Field Day (VFD) event format more than one year ago (maybe because the buzzword virtualization is no more attractive). But to be […]

Reading Time: 4 minutesThe first European edition of Nutanix .NEXT Conference is over… So which news are coming from this event? First that there are enough numbers to make good European conferences, not only in the US… Several vendors already know it (see VMware with VMworld, but also NetApp and HP, to make some examples), but others does not bet on this region (see Citrix or Microsoft). There where a huge number of attendees, more than the expect number from the Nutanix. That’s a good sign for the future.

Reading Time: 2 minutesThis year there will be the first Nutanix .NEXT Conference in Europe (Vienna, 8-10 November), after the US edition in Spring 2016 (that was the second .NEXT US Conference). I’m very excited to attend at this event and I have a lot of expectation from it (see how was the first .NEXT Conference). I’ve been invited (as a NTC) and I’m really curious to learn more about Nutanix products and technologies, their vision, their alliances, …. and of course to see a lot of friends. The agenda seems very interesting and I hope that the […]

Reading Time: < 1 minuteToday the VMworld EU 2016 will officially begin with a specific day dedicated to partners (also considering the lack of the Partner Exchange event). What you should expect from this VMworld? Something has already been announced (see the AWS partnership). But finally, after three VMworld (counting both the EU and US edition) there will be some news on the core product: VMware vSphere (considering also the release of Windows Server 2016). And, for sure, more info and probably more news con SDDC (including VSAN and NSX) and CNA.

Reading Time: 3 minutesThere is just a week before the new edition of VMworld EU and also if lots has been announced during the US edition, we can expect some interesting news also at this event. For me will be a good way to meet again lots of friends again, visit some booths to learn more from sponsors, pass some time in the community area and try to see some sessions. This year, I don’t want to write a complete pre-conference guide, old posts like VMworld 2015 EU or also VMworld 2014 EU tips tips are still valid.

Reading Time: < 1 minuteOctober is a big month for vBrownBag in Barcelona with the OpenStack Summit and also the VMworld EMEA with a lot of TechTalks. The ProfessionalVMware #vBrownBag is a series of online webinars held using GotoMeeting and covering various Virtualization & VMware Certification topics. TechTalks are ten-minute presentations by community members at an industry conference. They originated with sessions not being accepted for the main conference catalog. TechTalks are limited to ten minutes; they deliver the very core of an idea. Keeping presentations short also means we can do a lot of sessions in a day. […]
