Reading Time: 3 minutesThe Cloud path is one of the new certifications paths from VMware announced during the last VMworld US. I’m not sure that it will remain an independent (from the -DCV) path also in the future, considering that VMware now is pushing on the vCloud Suite rather than only the single vSphere or vCloud Director part. But this is just a my guess. Actually the Datacenter Virtualization (vSphere) and the Cloud (vCloud Director and related products) are two separated certifications paths.

My experience with VCP5-IaaS exam

Reading Time: 3 minutesThis was another exam where I’ve lose the opportunity to try during the beta due to the lack of available time. But during the last VMworld EU I’ve plan to take it, considering that I require few time (for the exam) e was also with a good discount! The blueprint version 2.21 is still based on vCloud 1.5 (funny considering that the VCP5-Cloud exam is based on vCloud 5.1), so just remember to be prepared on the previous product (there is also a free self-paced course on vCloud Director 1.5)! Some updates on the VCP5-DCV exam

Reading Time: < 1 minuteThe current version of the VCP5(-DV) certification blueprint has been changes in the last months. My study notes are still on version 1.2 of the blueprint, but there still valid also with the version 1.41; but now, starting from version 2.x there are some major changes.

New VMware Certification: VCP5-IaaS

Reading Time: < 1 minuteVMware is working a new certification specific for the “cloud”: VMware Certified Professional 5 – Infrastructure as a Service (VCP5-IaaS). Some individuals are about to be invited to paticipate in the beta phase. The rumor goes that the public exam should be live late July. The exam will probably measure the skills and abilities installing, configuring and administering a vCloud environment. Sign up here to know as soon as it’s publicly available.
