Some months ago I’ve wrote about an issue in file exclusion (see Veeam Endpoint: unable to exclude files from shapshot). One week ago, Veeam Endpoint backup jobs goes in a yellow state again with this message: 05/01/2016 00:32:17 :: Unable to exclude files from snapshot: Shadow Copy Optimization Writer timed out (see Windows event log for more info).

Please confirm you are running version 8.0.0.807, 8.0.0.817, 8.0.0.831, 8.0.0.917, 8.0.0.2018, 8.0.0.2021, 8.0.0.2029 or 8.0.0.2030 prior to installing this update. You can check this under Help | About in Veeam Backup & Replication console. After upgrading, your build will be version 8.0.0.2084.

Reading Time: 2 minutesVeeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure has been officially released, after a few months beta period,  while still remaining absolutely free. If you are looking for a simple way to transport data into and from Windows VMs running in the public clouds, this tool is the way to go! There are different tools, included upload functions in the web console, but can be nice have a simple “explorer” to copy your data (in both directorions). This tool is designed to simplify those activities.
