Reading Time: 2 minutes After the success of the first edition of VeeamON event, the related web site now report the dates of 2015‘s edition and confirm the city (Las Vegas). VeeamON 2014 was the world’s first and only event to focus entirely on Availability for the Modern Data Center, and it’s nice that it will become a “ritual” event in the IT scenario. Pre-registration has already opened up but cost has not been announce (I suppose it will be similar to past edition).

Reading Time: 3 minutes According with the Veeam KB1982 (Veeam Backup & Replication 8.0 Patch 1) there is the first patch for Veeam Backup & Replication 8. After upgrading, your build will be version 8.0.0.917. The patch is already available for the download (you need to be logged in to download the patch). There are several bugfixes both for the VMware and Hyper-V enviroments, but also some minor new features and enhancements.

Reading Time: < 1 minute Veeam has finally announced that the new Veeam Availability Suite v8 is in GA for everybody with a valid license and also for the trial mode. Download is alredy available from the Veeam web site. Veeam Availability Suite is the new new name of the bundle that includes Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE that bridges the availability gap by providing customers a new kind of solution—Availability for the Modern Data Center, which delivers RTPO of < 15 minutes for ALL applications and data for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
