The ecosystem surrounding VMware and its virtualization and cloud infrastructure software is still vibrant. There is a great community (VMTN) but also a huge number of bloggers (VMware employees and not only) with some good list of them available from v12n/vExpert Blogs and also the vLaunchPad blogger list (with the Top 100 VMware/virtualization people you MUST follow on Twitter – 2017 edition).

Influence Marketing Council, a membership organization for B2B technology marketers who work with influencers, advocates, and community, has also presenting their list of top 50 overall influencers for VMware. This is an algorithmic list based on who is followed the most on Twitter by other “insiders”, so it’s not completly related to the blog posts quality, but mostly on social media metrics.

HPE already has the StorVirtual (aka LeftHand) solution (that is become quite old in the approach) but also the more interesting StoreServ (from the 3PAR acquisitition) that cover mostly the storage portfolio with great AFA and hybrid products.

The hyperconverged area has been improved two months ago with SimpliVity products (see HPE and Simplivity: the deal is done) but now there is a big news.
