Reading Time: 2 minutesThe new Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3a patch may introduce some warnings backing up Microsoft SQL Server VMs after installing the update. It does not happen in all cases, and seems more limited for SQL Express instances. But Veeam has described the issues in KB2689 (https://www.veeam.com/kb2689) with also the required fix!

Reading Time: 2 minutesVMware Horizon Client communicates with the View server, which acts as a broker between the client device and remote desktops and published applications. You enter credentials into Horizon Client, the server authenticates your credentials, and then the server finds the remote desktops and published applications that you are entitled to use. Also if you can use VMware Blast to access your virtual desktop or published applications, a client is usually preferrable to have full features.

But maybe not everybody want to update vSphere 6.5 to Update 2, considering that there will be no upgrade path (yet) to version 6.7 and maybe other minor issues due to the backport of some features.

VMware NSX-T Data Center has been updated to provide networking and security infrastructure for on-premise deployments, for VMware Cloud on AWS and also for other native public cloud, like Microsoft Azure.
