Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure has been officially released, after a few months beta period,  while still remaining absolutely free.

If you are looking for a simple way to transport data into and from Windows VMs running in the public clouds, this tool is the way to go!

There are different tools, included upload functions in the web console, but can be nice have a simple “explorer” to copy your data (in both directorions). This tool is designed to simplify those activities.

The user interface is quite simple and clear and seems a common Veeam Explorer:

FastSCP

Note that while the focus of this tool is Azure, right now there is nothing preventing you from using it against VMs in ANY cloud at all – be it Amazon, vCloud Air, or even within your own private cloud. Basically it can be used against ANY Windows computer with PowerShell enabled.

So maybe in the future it can become a more generic FastSCP for clouds.
