Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure è stato da poco rilasciato, dopo un periodo nel quale era in beta.

Se state cercando uno strumento semplice ed efficace per trasferire le vostre VM (o ISO) sul cloud pubblico di Microsoft, questo potrebbe fare il caso vostro. L’interfaccia utente è molto semplice e del tutto simile a quella di un normale Veeam Explorer:

FastSCP

Con questo strumento è possibile eseguire le seguenti operazioni:

  • Copia sicura dei file tramite HTTPS con crittografia integrata (non è necessaria alcuna VPN)
  • Copia manuale dei file da/verso VM Azure senza dover tenere aperta l’interfaccia utente fino al completamento del processo
  • Job di copia pianificati, ad esempio copie serali o settimanali da/verso le VM Azure
  • Interfaccia utente con procedura guidata per trasferire i file con soli pochi clic, senza che sia richiesta alcuna competenza di scripting

Notare che benché lo strumento sia specifico per Microsoft Azure, in teoria è utilizzabile con qualunque sistema Windows con PowerShell e potenzialmente adattabile ad altri tipi di cloud. Quindi non è da escludere che in futuro possa diventare FastSCP for Clouds.
