Reading Time: 3 minutesCome annunciato alcuni mesi fa in occasione delle varie Windows Server 2019 preview build, il nuovo Windows Server 2019 è disponibile in GA, subito dopo l’evento Microsoft Ingite. Ed infatti molte informazioni su questa nuova versione sono disponibili on demand sul sito di Ignite. Sicuramente è un’importante rilascio, considerando che Windows Server 2016 è stato rilasciato ben 3 anni fa!

Reading Time: 3 minutesFinally, the v2.2 of Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows is available also from the client update. Release on July 3, 2018 (see the release notes), the new agent versions (not only the v2.2 for Windows, but also the 2.0.1 for Linux) have been available from the Veeam Backup or other limited sources, but now are available to all. Not much news or improvements, mainly the official support for Windows 10 v1803 and some minor bug fixes.

Reading Time: 3 minutesDopo un lungo periodo di attesa, finalmente la nuova versione di Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 con i tanto annunciati (e attesi) supporti per SharePoint e OneDrive (Business). La prima versione di Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 risale a novembre 2016 e ha permesso di proteggere le email di Office 365, ma soprattutto i lasciare la libertà e semplicità per il restore, con strumenti del tutto simili a quelli di Veeam Backup & Replication (in realtà gli stessi per il restore granulare).

Reading Time: 2 minutesOramai dovrebbe essere problema arcinoto ed in teoria risolto a tutti quelli che hanno aggiornato i loro sistemi Windows. Ma la realtà è meno ovvia del previsto e non sempre la logica (i sistemi vanno mantenuti aggiornati) è seguita. O non sempre è possibile, in virtù di sistemi isolati (o ritenuti tali) che persistono ad esistere dove non viene mai aggiornato nulla, se non magari una volta all’anno.

One common issue when you try to power on a VM in Workstation and instead you get this error message: VMware Workstation and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMware Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard.

Because on most systems it works correctly, but, at least in a case, the CPU hot add does not work as expected.
