Reading Time: 3 minutesNutanix has announced Acropolis Version 4.7 GA on June 28th (announcement details can be found here), but if you plan to use it it’s highly recommend downloading the latest maintenance release of this version, Acropolis Version 4.7.1 and start from it. The new version of the NOS (previous name of the Nutanix Operating System) adds a lot of new and interesting features.

Reading Time: 2 minutesLa settimana scorsa, Nutanix ha rilasciato Acropolis File Services (AFS): un file server web-scale native per la piattaforma Nutanix che trasforma la soluzione da iperconvergente ed orientata solo ad ambienti virtuali ad una soluzione di tipo scale-out NAS.. Questa funzionalità era stata annunciata all’ultima .NEXT Conference, e finalmente e disponibile. Gestire home directory, user profile, application logs e share diventa finalmente possibile nativamente senza dover aggiungere VM per offrire questo servizio.

Il programma NTC simile ad altri community award come VMware vExpert, Microsoft MVP, Cisco Champions, EMC Elect, … che premia chi, all’interno delle diverse community, si prodiga a condividere la propria conoscenza ed esperienza. Reading Time: 2 minutesNutanix Community Edition è la versione gratuita e “allegerita” del Nutanix Operating System (ora chiamato Nutanix Acropolis), lo stesso alla base dei prodotti commerciali Nutanix. Benchè con alcune limitazioni è a tutti gli effetti una versione completa della piattaforma Nutanix, con i principali limiti di prevedere solo l’Acropolis Hypervisor (ossia la versione KVM personalizzata da Nutanix) e una configurazione a 1 o a 3 nodi .

Nutanix annuncia una partnership OEM con Lenovo

Reading Time: 3 minutesNutanix e Lenovo hanno annunciato una partnership strategica di OEM agreement per la distribuzione congiunta della soluzione Nutanix XCP basata su hardware Lenovo. Questa è la seconda OEM partnership di Nutanix (dopo quella di più di un anno fa con Dell) che aumenterà le soluzioni e possibilità di scelta delle soluzioni iperconvergenti Nutanix-based.
