Reading Time: 2 minutesI travel to Las Vegas to attend at the VMware PEX 2013. This will be the second time that I participate in this kind of event (previously I was in Vegas in 2010, still at Mandalay Bay, but in general I prefer to follow the european VMworld).
In a previous post, I’ve already describe some reasons to attend at this kind of event. Partially it also covers the differences between PEX and VMworld. But after this event I could give a complete comparison between those events (being able to compare in the same period with both editions of VMworld).

Eric Siebert (from Sphere-Land.com) ha open again, like one year ago, a content for voting the ‘Top VMware & Virtualization Blogs’.
As he points out in his post, there are now over 200 blogs dedicated to VMware and Virtualization – this is definitely an impressive number which is a real indication to how passionate people feel towards the VMware range of products and virtualization in general.
The voting runs 1st March with only one round of voting being allowed per IP address – so those of you using a corporate Internet connection, get in early.
You can vote for your top 10 favorite VMware & virtualization blogs: on the first page you will be able to select your 10 favorite blogs and on the following page will be allowed to rank them in your preference order.

Backup
The backup software must be compatible with vSphere 5.1, so check it before the upgrade procedure. Actually most of the backup software vendors have version for vSphere 5.1, but note that old backup software may be not compatible.
