Their HC3 platform is an hyperconverged solution that can be used for small- and medium-sized businesses but also in some enterprise departments with a simple (and different) approach to virtualization and storage. Their appliances was sized to a have good compromize between computing and storage resource, but also to permit a good scalability in the datacenter. For this reason thei were all 1U size, but for this reason limited in the maximum […]

Reading Time: 3 minutesScale Computing has launched their hybrid HC1150 hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) with a three nodes cluster for under $25,000 that will allow the SMB to more freely adopt hyperconvergence, making virtualization as simple and cost effective as a single server. The HC1150 combines virtualization with servers and high performance flash storage to provide a complete, highly available datacenter infrastructure solution at the lowest price possible. Offering the full line of features found in the HC2000 and HC4000 family clusters, the entry level HC1150 provides the most efficient use of system resources – particularly RAM – to […]

Reading Time: 2 minutesSome years ago, A3CUBE Inc. has introduced its Fortissimo Foundation building block software solution. Coupled with A3CUBE’s RONNIE Express platform, Fortissimo Foundation provides dramatic improvements in application performance and datacenter efficiency, particularly in unstructured and Big Data environments. A3CUBE was Founded in May 2012 (from Italian people, still in the company’s board) from the experience of a team with more than 20 years of operating experience in developing and marketing hi-tech enterprise products.

Reading Time: 3 minutesAlso before the EMC acquisition, the Dell’s storage portfolio was already wide with three main families in the “traditional” storage approach (we can say, with centrialized storage): Compellent, EqualLogic and PowerVault. But also with several hyper-conververged solution, in this from several partnership, with with VMware (for VSAN and EVO:RAIL), Nutanix (for the XC series), but also Microsoft (for Storage Spaces solutions) or Nexenta and other SDS vendors.
