On month ago VMware released the VMware vSphere 8.0 Update 3 with vCenter Server 8.0 Update 3 release instead is a General Availability (GA), but with ESXi 8.0 Update 3 release is an Initial Availability (IA).
Now finally also ESXi 8.0 Update 3 is in General Availability (GA) so that we can consider almost ready for production.
But remember that not all software may be yet certified for vSphere 8.0.3… so just check specific vendor interoperability matrix. For example, Veeam Backup & Replication at this point does not support officially this new release (see VMware vSphere versions supported by Veeam Backup & Replication (July 2024)).
So be sure to double check the software compatibility. For VMware products, you can use the Product Interoperability Matrix.
And don’t forget also the hardware compatibility.
