What’s happened during .NEXT 2016 Europe?

Reading Time: 4 minutesThe first European edition of Nutanix .NEXT Conference is over… So which news are coming from this event? First that there are enough numbers to make good European conferences, not only in the US… Several vendors already know it (see VMware with VMworld, but also NetApp and HP, to make some examples), but others does not bet on this region (see Citrix or Microsoft). There where a huge number of attendees, more than the expect number from the Nutanix. That’s a good sign for the future.

Reading Time: 2 minutesOggi inizia ufficialmente il VMworld EU 2016, con la giornata dedicata ai vari partner (considerando anche la ricollazione dell’evento globale Partner Exchange). Come ci dovremo aspettare da questo VMworld? Qualche annuncio c’è già stato, in particolare l’annuncio relativo alla partnership con Amazon per l’offerta di public cloud. Ma durante l’evento ci dovremo aspettare (finalmente dopo 3 edizioni di VMworld, contanndo sia quelle americane che quelle europee) qualche novità sulla nuova versione di VMware vSphere. Reading Time: 5 minutesSono calate le luci dell’edizione americana del VMworld 2016 ed è finalmente possibile trarne le conclusioni finali. A parte l’ovvio annuncio della prossima edizione (dal 27 al 31 agosto 2017 sempre al Mandalay Bay Hotel & Convention Center) quali sono state le più importanti novità dell’evento? A differenza dello scorso anno, questa volta non ho partecipato all’evento in prima persona (sarò presente solo all’edizione europea) e quindi i commenti seguenti sono esclusivamente il frutto di quanto ho visto e sentito indirettamente.
