ESXi 6.5 host fails with PSOD

Reading Time: 3 minutesSeems that there are still some issues with vSphere 6.5, with a possible PSOD (Purple Screen Of the Death) after upgrade to 6.5U1 on ESXi hosts using 10 Gbps NICs. The VMware KB 2151749 describe this issue and explains that this occurs because Netqueue commit phase abruptly stop due to the failure of hardware activation of a Rx queue. As a result, Internal data-structure of the Netqueue layer’s could go out of sync with the device and cause PSOD.

There’s a few free guides online but they all cover old out of date exam topics and aren’t great quality, but this is guide really complete (350+ pages), up to date, with good quality and simple, which people can use completely for free.

Flash non funziona più con vSphere Web Client

Reading Time: 3 minutesA causa dell’ultimo aggiornamento di Adobe Flash con versione 27.0.0.170 (purtroppo l’aggiornamento è già stato incluso anche in Microsoft Updatem quindi disattivare l’aggiornamento automatico di Flash potrebbe non bastare), il vSphere Web Client (per intenderci il client basato su Flash) non è più utilizzabile, su nessun browser. Considerando che al momento è l’unico client grafico in grado di gestire in modo completo vSphere 6.5 (il client HTML5 ha ancora troppi limiti) è una grande seccatura. Se usate Chrome o Firefox vi accorgerete facilmente che il plugin di Flash non viene caricato, con Internet Explorer il browser si chiude […]
