Finally the vSphere Integrated Containers is now in GA (General Availability) and will be possible using vSphere to also natively run containerized workloads and not only VMs.
Because it relies on existing vSphere constructs to run containerized workloads, vSphere Integrated Containers can seamlessly leverage NSX, vSAN and the vRealize management suite out of the box.

Using constructs from the Open Container Initiative to map Docker containers to vSphere infrastructure, containers are provisioned as virtual machines, offering the same security and functionality of virtual machines in VMware ESXi hosts or VMware vCenter Server instances.

A livello internazionale il WPC è l’evento worldwide per il Partner Microsoft.

Ma a livello italiano acquista anche un altro significato (e molti lo conoscono più per quest’ultimo): è diventata una conferenza tecnica molto conosciuta per i professionisti dell’IT ideata e organizzata da OverNet Education.

Tornato ad essere articolato su 3 giornate dense di sessioni e contenuti, il WPC 2016 (che rappresenta la 23ma edizione di WPC in Italia) è un evento che riunisce una community di oltre 400 IT Professionals.

Microsoft Hyper-V 2016 vs. VMware vSphere 6.5

Now that both Microsoft and VMware have officially announced the new released of their virtualization products it’s possible make an homogenous comparison between Hyper-V 2016 and vSphere 6.5 (like I’ve done some years ago with the Hyper-V 2012R2 vs. vSphere 5.5 article).

Comparing two different product is not so easy, also if released really closed one each other. You have found some homogenous aspects to make the comparison, at least at technical level (but as written, it’s not so much important now). For numbers could be really easy, but numbers are not enough: for example memory management it’s still really different (VMware implement different technologies, Hyper-V only Dynamic Memory, only on some OSes)… so it’s not the same what you can do with the same amount of memory.
