Reading Time: 2 minutesVMware ha da poco annunciato due importanti novità sui client per vSphere, sia per il vecchio client Windows sia per quello Web: il client legacy basato su C# ed eseguibile solo su sistemi Windows non sarà più disponibile dalla prossima versione di vSphere (finalmente, visto che il cliente era persino più grosso di ESXi). Le versioni 5.5 e 6.0 non saranno affette il cliente web basato su Adobe Flash sarà presto sostituito (finalmente) da un client web totalmente HTML5 (al momento già disponibile come Fling).

The new platform forms the foundation for the industry’s largest all-flash scale-out, with support for up to 160,000 VMs, 10 petabytes of capacity, and 6.4 million IOPS, for less than $1/GB.

Different editions (and prices) for NSX for vSphere

Reading Time: 2 minutesAs promised in the last VMworld, now VMware has introduced two new less-expensive versions of its NSX product targeted for the mid-enterprise. Also on NSX there are now different editions with different prices and, of course, features. The full version will be the Enterprise one (sigh… on vSphere Enterprise has gone, wasn’t better call it Enterprise Plus), the intermediate Advanced and the starter just Standard. No Essential or Essential Plus, but will be difficult and non sense (yet) apply this kind of technology to the small business.

In the last years they grow really fast from the 4 employees in 2014 to the more than 125 at the beginning of 2016! Se dopo il 12 aprile 2016 starai ancora utilizzando SQL Server 2005, non riceverai più gli aggiornamenti di sicurezza. Si consiglia l’aggiornamento a SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2016 o al database SQL di Azure quanto prima (in accordo alla matrice di compatibilità delle applicazioni che utilizzano il database).

But also with several hyper-conververged solution, in this from several partnership, with with VMware (for VSAN and EVO:RAIL), Nutanix (for the XC series), but also Microsoft (for Storage Spaces solutions) or Nexenta and other SDS vendors.
