Reading Time: 4 minutesQuest’anno l’annuncio dei vExpert 2018 ha richiesto molto più tempo (un mese) rispetto a quanto accaduto ai vExpert 2016 o anche ai vExpert 2017. Ma il ritardo significativo non è stata l’unica differenza, quest’anno per la prima volta si è assistito ad una riduzione del numero di vExpert, non ancora significativa, ma sicuramente un chiaro messaggio. Reading Time: < 1 minuteCome noto il programma vExpert, negli ultimi anni si è specializzato in alcune tecnologie verticali. Dopo il VMware vExpert vSAN 2017 e il VMware vExpert NSX 2017, quest’anno è nata una nuova categoria: VMware vExpert Cloud. Esattamente come tutte le altre categorie precedenti: these vExperts has demonstrated significant contributions to the community and a willingness to share their expertise with others. Contributing is not always blogging or Twitter as there are many public speakers, book authors, scriptwriters, VMUG leaders, VMTN community moderators and internal champions among this group.

Reading Time: < 1 minuteUn anno fa, VMware ha avviato dei nuovi (sotto)programmi vExpert su differenti tecnologie specifiche. Uno di questi è il vExpert vSAN e ho avuto la fortuna di far parte della prima lista di vExpert VSAN 2016. Ora la lista dei vExperts vSAN è stata aggiornata al 2017. The program is build upon the vExpert program. To apply you must be a current vExpert as well as evangelizing VMware Virtual SAN. There will be an application once per year for each of the sub-programs.

Uno di questi è il vExpert NSX e ho avuto la fortuna di far parte della prima lista di vExpert NSX 2016. Ora la lista è stata aggiornata con i vExperts NSX 2017. Per partecipare al programma bisogna prima essere un vExpert oltre che ovviamente a contribuire nel specifico settore VMware NSX. Vi sarà un’application per ogni anno in ogni sotto-programma.

Reading Time: 2 minutesVeeam ha annunciato la disponibilità di licenze NFR (Not for Resale) gratuite (per 1 anno e fino ad un massimo di 10 utenti) del nuovo prodotto Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365. Le licenze sono disponibile per tutti i VMware vExpert, Microsoft MVP, VTEC member, Certified Engineer e Trainer e sono destinati ad ambienti non‑production ma senza limiti di funzionalità (utiler per lab, ma anche per gli MVP per proteggere i propri dati sull’account Office 365).
