The company is private-owned and has base in Warsaw, Poland, EU. MooseFS is a fault-tolerant, highly available, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical commodity servers, which are visible to the user as one virtual disk. His architecture is quite different from “traditiona” NAS or SAN storage.

One of the issues of VM snapshots is that people forget to delete them: according to VMware snapshot management recommended practices you shoul NOT keep snapshots for more than 3 days (I suggest to don’t keep them for more than one day, because usually you have backups as other possible restore points).
