Reading Time: 2 minutesSono in viaggio per Las Vegas, per partecipare al VMware PEX 2013. Questa sarà la seconda volta che partecipo a questo tipo di evento (in precedenza ero stato nel 2010 sempre a Las Vegas, sempre al Mandalay Bay; ma in generale ho preferito seguire i VMworld europei).
Le motivazioni per partecipare a questo tipo di eventi le ho già espresse in un post precedente. Parzialmente copre anche le differenze tra un PEX e un VMworld. Rimando però alla fine dell’evento una valutazione più completa delle effettive differenze (potendo confrontare in uno stesso periodo con entrambe le edizioni del VMworld).

Eric Siebert (from Sphere-Land.com) ha open again, like one year ago, a content for voting the ‘Top VMware & Virtualization Blogs’.
As he points out in his post, there are now over 200 blogs dedicated to VMware and Virtualization – this is definitely an impressive number which is a real indication to how passionate people feel towards the VMware range of products and virtualization in general.
The voting runs 1st March with only one round of voting being allowed per IP address – so those of you using a corporate Internet connection, get in early.
You can vote for your top 10 favorite VMware & virtualization blogs: on the first page you will be able to select your 10 favorite blogs and on the following page will be allowed to rank them in your preference order.

Più in generale l’implementazione della vision di VMware per quanto riguarda l’End User Compunting (EUC) e le problematiche connesse come il BYOD e la sicurezza. I punti chiave sono:
- Transform: semplificare i desktop e gestire apps e dati tramite servizi centralizzati
- Broker: gestire e protteggere in modo centralizzato e distribuire i servizi secondo le policy
- Deliver: rendere disponibili i servizi in modo flessibile, indipendentemente dai dispositivi di accesso, dalla posizione e dalla connettività
